United and Unshaken

Brothers and Sisters,

For the first time, the company was forced to present its economic package at the start of the economic section of bargaining. That didn’t happen willingly; it came because of your strength, your support, and the pressure we've applied together.

Your Bargaining Committee made it clear from day one: this round of negotiations will be different, it’s about respect, about seeing how the company truly values its employees. Not just in words, but in real terms, on paper, in black and white, and with real tangible commitments.

Let’s be clear: we will not bargain against ourselves. This fight is different — and our strength is in our unity. For too long, the company has used division to its advantage — tiered wages, pre-95/post-95, and benefits. that ends now. We must stand together on equal ground. We’re not here for smoke and mirrors, and we won’t move just to say we moved. We’re here for real, measurable, non-concessionary gains that reflect the true value of every member.

We know not every outcome will meet every expectation, but we are fighting for the best possible agreement for everyone. That’s why a second member survey is needed. This is your contract. The Bargaining Committee is your voice, but you are the power behind that voice. Your continued feedback helps guide every decision we make at the table.

We’re also proud to say we have the strongest support we’ve ever received from the International UAW. That support matters, and it’s helping keep the pressure exactly where it belongs: on the company.

With only 7 weeks left until our contract expires, the pressure is mounting.

We are committed to bringing you a contract that you’ll be proud to vote 'yes' on — the first time. Continue wearing your RED shirts on Wednesdays. Continue wearing the stickers on your personal property.  Stay engaged. Stay united. Stay strong.

We win when we stand together and fight for a common goal.

In solidarity,

Your UAW Local 5 Bargaining Committee
